Martin Blunt was born on the 21st of May, 1964 in the Portobello
area of Willenhall.
He was like Burgess not very good at school.
He adored punk music and his brother use to take him all
the time to gigs.
Between 1980 and 1983, Martin spent most of his weekends
with the mod travelling around in England. Obviously, a scooters' Lover (One with good taste, I might add)
Like Burgess, he used to visit Steve Harrison's little Omega
Shop.
By the age of 19, he was working in various record shops
and ended up joining his first serious band "Makin' Time"
Makin' Time finally split in September 1986, after the failure
of their second album
Soon after the split, Martin formed "The Gift Horses". That
is where he met Jon Brookes.
